bundle of deny everything & fuel true anarchy in the americas

about

previous release (inri083):
jasonparent.bandcamp.com/album/inrimake-inridiculous-1999-rebuild

this is a stub to present a re-release dated to 2004 to place beside inri084.

my fourth record (deny everything) & my seventh record (ftaa) were initially released four years apart from each other, in 2000 and in 2004, and were then reconstructed together as part of the limited inri records catalog in the summer of 2004:
1) jasonparent.bandcamp.com/album/deny-everything (inri041)
2) jasonparent.bandcamp.com/album/ftaa (inri081)

since then, both records have been stripped of samples, leaving fairly disparate pieces of music. while it never crossed my mind to present them as a double record at the time, when they both contained samples, it probably should have and, moving forwards, the idea of combining these records together into a politically oriented 2xlp of sample collages and vocal pieces, updated to have the samples and vocals reintroduced into the tracks in their most final and most complete instrumental forms, is probably stable.

as mentioned, these records have been cleared of samples since 2004. further, inri041 became attached to an outtakes disc, inri042, that is composed of vocal parts that could not be split out, due to having lost the master tapes. inri081 also became attached to it's mirror reflection, inri067, which has *only* sample collages, and was intended to present the ftaa project as it was initially imagined, but in a fully comprehensive manner.

the disconnected releases with their accompanying outtakes records, as described above, are the authoritative documents, as the records are better left without samples, which thereby deprives this combination of conceptual unity. i would not present these recordings as a double record, in their final forms, for that reason; they were stripped of samples with intent, and should be left that way, which means they both go with other ideas better than they go together. however, they were both initially released with samples, and if i missed the idea of putting them together in that form then, i have not missed it now.

it also happens to be that these are the odd records out in terms of combining everything into a series of doubles (inri/inriched, inrimake/inridiculous, jjjjjjjjjj/jjjjjjjjj^2, and then these two records are left, before the upcoming release of the 2xlp, {e}). the reason they're odd records out is that deny everything & ftaa were transitional projects, and inri, jjjjjjjjj and trivial group were main projects. so, combining them together also makes sense, for that reason.

you may listen to and/or purchase inri041 & inri081 separately at the above links.

about

jessica murray Windsor, Ontario

this is the archive for the artist formerly known as jason parent and now known as jessica murray.

the music here has shifted dramatically over many years, from roots in punk/grunge through to experimental synth pop and into a type of kitchen sink post-rock with heavy electronics. the only consistency throughout is a lack of consistency, guitars and an impressionist aesthetic. "blender rock".
