about

previous release (bundle of deny everything & ftaa):
jasonparent.bandcamp.com/album/bundle-of-deny-everything-fuel-true-anarchy-in-the-americas

i am reconstructing what was initially my fifth & sixth records (inri041 & inri081), now called my fourth and seventh records, using the tracklistings as they existed in 2004, upon the release of the second of the two, but with all tracks updated to have the samples and vocals reintroduced into the tracks in their most final and most complete instrumental forms. the reason i'm doing this is so that i have alternate versions for all of my lps, in preparation for a final release of my very long awaited eighth lp, which is a double, and which will release in instrumental and alternate vocal formats. this write-up will complete later.

these records were initially released almost four years apart from each other, but they are conceptually linked, in that one is really the sequel to the other. i did not really realize that truth for twenty years after the fact, but it is very clear to me, now. they collected politically driven sample collages and lyrical pieces put together over 2000-2002, but not really compiled until mid-2004, as a process of building the initial inri records catalog,

to be clear: inri041 was completed and released in late 2000, as an awareness build exercise about and protest against george w. bush's election campaign. that's right: my anti-bush record was created and completed before bush was even elected. inri081 was initially put together in 2004 from experiments done in 2001-2002, that were in a similar style to inri041 but intended for a post-9/11 successor project. in hindsight, this is really the same story, continuing through bush' presidency. that is the reason it makes sense to put them together, here.

it should also be pointed out that inri041 and inri081 both climax in thick, conceptual symphonic pieces. inri041 climaxes in my fourth symphony, acidosis; inri081 climaxes in my 7th symphony, trepanation nation.

another commonality is that deny everything and fuel true anarchy in the americas were linkage projects between my main projects: inri, jjjjjjjjj and the trivial group. that was not clear at the time, either.

in 2004, the following decisions were made:

1) ignorance is bliss was stripped of vocals and made minimal, in general. the deny everything record was re-released in 2004 in that form.
2) like divine amoebas was moved to the front of the ftaa project.
3) through the looking glass was created, for the first time, by isolating a segment of the remnant curious george suite demo and finishing it as an experimental noise piece.
4) the ftaa lp was released at this time as a five track record that included the first five tracks that are on the disc today, but full of the political samples that were removed over time.

this new release reverses the first decision, to instead include the maximal version of the track, as it was constructed in 2017, as an experiment. this is the maximal and rebuilt 2014 album version, with the original vocals mixed back in. that is the opposite of the decision made in 2004, but this is an alternate ep. see the 2004 update disc for the version actually created in 2004. this new release also upholds all other decisions made in 2004, which have largely been undone since, including reintegrating the removed samples back into the seventh symphony. so, besides the maximization of the first track (rather than the minimization of it), this is an accurate representation of what these two records would have sounded like back-to-back in 2004, except that all tracks are updated to their final underlying instrumental forms, insofar as the question is actually relevant.

these tracks were written over 1999-2004, partially remastered in spurts (2004, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2014), partially rebuilt in late 2017, in mid 2021 and again in early 2022 and then recombined in this form in early 2022. as always, please use headphones.

about

jessica murray Windsor, Ontario

this is the archive for the artist formerly known as jason parent and now known as jessica murray.

the music here has shifted dramatically over many years, from roots in punk/grunge through to experimental synth pop and into a type of kitchen sink post-rock with heavy electronics. the only consistency throughout is a lack of consistency, guitars and an impressionist aesthetic. "blender rock".
