i am reconstructing what was initially my third & fourth records (inri032-inri033), now called my third record and my unofficial covers disc, using the original 1999 tracklisting, but with all tracks in their final, most updated form. the reason i'm doing this is so that i have alternate versions for all of my lps, in preparation for a final release of my very long awaited eighth lp, which is a double, and which will release in instrumental and alternate vocal formats. this write-up will complete later.
these records were initially released close to each other near the end of 1999 with the tracklistings presented here. they collected experiments put together over the bulk of 1999, as well as some remnant tracks from 1998 or earlier. in early 2014, the following decisions were made:
1) liquify was removed from inrimake (inri032), released as a single (inri031) and eventually recombined into inrimoved (inri042) in late 2017. in order to reconstruct the original tracklisting, have reinserted the final 2017 remaster of liquify into the sequence. i cannot remove the vocals or substantively remix this track because the source material has been lost, so it can only exist on the vocal outtakes disc, inrimoved, and on this alternate lp, to complete the sequence. component to price: $2.
2-8) inrimake was edited and augmented. the edits are retained here, but the extra tracks are dropped to reassert the initial tracklisting. while these tracks are all drastically different than the originals, i nonetheless remain apprehensive about attaching a price tag to this. inrimake is now a comprehensive collection all of covers and remixes done over the inri period; this collection reverts back to the 1999 tracklisting to recapture the feel of the initial release. component to price: $1.
9-18) except to strip out book it!, inridiculous (inri033) was re-released unedited. this is my third record. component to price: $10.
19) book it! was removed from inridiculous (inri033), split off into a single (inri034) and eventually recombined into inrimoved (inri042). i have reinserted the final 2017 remaster into the record. i cannot substantively remaster this track because i lost the source material but this is not the reason it is removed from inridiculous. this track was removed because it is conceptually distinct from the rest of the material on inridiculous, which is a noise record; it fits together better with inrimake, and should have perhaps been added to the covers disc, instead. today, book it and liquify exist together on inri042 along with tracks removed from my second & fourth records and are being readded to this double, together, to reconstruct the initial tracklisting, as alternate. component to price: $2.
(note: the editors are even fucking with my bandcamp site. the initial language here was very precise and mathematical, and it was eliminated to introduce imprecise colloquialisms intended to appeal to people of low education level. i find this distressing. i will need to replace this simplistic language with more complicated verbiage later, but i'll need to reconstruct the thought process, first. the complexity of the initial werite-up is difficult to reproduce in the spot. for now, i must apologize for coming off as unable to articulate myself well, but i must insist that somebody is altering my writing to reduce the literacy level. i don't know why somebody would want to make an intelligent person look stupid, but i'm left with a systematic problem that is going to take me a long time to fix, and that i cannot do on the spot. please note that i do not use "cool language" when i speak, but rather use a lot of very big words, in the context of very complicated sentence structures. the simple fact is that the result of this editing is simple misrepresentation. i'm never going to appeal to a low information market, and i would be horribly insulting towards them if presented to them. i would hate the people this is being marketed to.)
this consequently combines the lead tracks of inri31 & inri034 with the original tracklisting of inri032 and the re-released-as-is inri033. so, this is a re-combination of inri031-inri034, which were initially released at the same time, in two records, in late 1999, before being split apart in 2014.
so, this reconstructs the initial records, with the additional remastering, as best as i can reconstruct and remaster them, which i believe is a process that is inherently flawed. i removed liquify from the covers disc because it is not a cover and because i did not like the vocals, and i removed book it from inridiculous because it didn't fit the aesthetic. the officially completed releases remain inri031-inri034 & inri042, in the way they're presented. this combination should be viewed strictly as an alternate lp. the reason i'm doing this is so that i have alternate fully vocalized versions for all of my lps, in preparation for a final release of my very long awaited eighth lp, which is a double, and which will release in instrumental and alternate vocal formats. this write-up will complete, later.
